The Fall So Far

It's my first week of the Fall lineup. I know it actually started a week or so ago, but those aren't my kind of shows. Well, except for Dancing with the Stars. And Haven. And Sleepy Hollow. And Dads. I guess I did start at a doable time.
I should just say, I do not do many reality shows. Still, I do love my Dancing with the Stars. Especially this season. But come on! It's Bill Nye! I hope he stays for another week. I also really like Leah Remini, even if she is a bit paranoid.
This last week was a tasting of quite a few new shows. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Dads, Mom, The Michael J. Fox Show.

Lets start with Dancing with the Stars. I've pretty much said what needs to be said on that. The cast is pretty good. Snookie did better than I thought. Bill Nye did as well as I thought. I don't think he'll be around for long. Though I hope I'm wrong.
Haven is doing what Haven does best with the mystery and Nathan's brooding. Colin Ferguson from Eureka is taking part this season. And being just the right amount of mysterious.
Sleepy Hollow is creepy and dark and so far so good. I just have trouble seeing this as a long term show. Mini series would have been better.
Dads is okay. Some funny bits. Some uggg! Really? Why moments. And I love the cast! Seth Green, Martian Mull, Giovanni Ribisi, and Peter Riegert. So it's a bit of a let down when it's only the second episode and they go right to the weed plot. Can't I have time to like your characters before I have to see them all strung out on brownies?
My biggest happy was Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Joss Whedon? Yay!  And Clark Gregg is always fun. It had action and humor. The story moved along at a good ace and the characters are enjoyable to watch. This is a hell yeah!
The Goldbergs. Keep in mind that I am an 80's lover. I did think it was better than I thought it would be. Lots of fun bits. The dad translation. The brother who is only understood by Flava Flav. Yeah. I'll watch again :)
Trophy Wife I don't want to say I enjoy you. Because once I do they will cancel you. Just like they did to Family Tools. You are smart and funny. And I just love Bradley Whitford. The hamster. That is all :)
The Michael J. Fox Show. I had high hopes for this. Maybe that was the problem. It wasn't quite what I had hoped. But. I'm not giving up just yet. I know that sometimes you have to give shows some time. They had a bit of ground work to do. And the second episode was fun. If you knew that the neighbor was played by his real-life wife Tracy Pollen.
Tonight I caught The Crazy Ones and Mom. They seem like okay shows. They are both easy to watch and decently humorous. Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Geller worked nice together. And in Mom, Anna Faris is just as charming as she always is.
And finally for this post my only other reality show at the moment, Tough Love: Co-Ed. Everyone needs Steve Ward in their head. Just before you do something stupid, you need to hear him say "Come on! What are you doin'?"
