Another End

Happy New Year! I hope you have all had a great holiday!

The TV lineup should finally go back to normal this weekend. And though I love the Christmas movies,  I am rather glad they are done.

Sadly, I am not feeling the TV theme for this blog. Oh I still love TV, but remembering to write about the dozen or more shows is too much. I will figure it out though.

Somewhere deep in my mind is the idea I want.Just have to get to it.

I'll let you all know when I find it :)

Until then keep checking in with Into A Barrel :))

Thank you for checking this one out :)

Tough Love, Witches, Superheros and More

It's been a very busy week. Had lot and lots to do around the house and such life bits. Getting things decorated for Halloween and baby showers to ready myself for.

So that meant somethings were missed and will have to be marathoned ( Dancing With the Stars) on demand (if I can). American Horror Story is not. We missed the first episode. I was rather disappointed.  But I saw the second one tonight and they are playing the first right now. Because watching AHS at midnight by ones-self is such a fine idea. It's going to take a whole lot of Disney to clean this mental palette. But already in the first ten minutes so much makes sense. Oooh, that's the Minotaur! I get it!
And so it will continue.

The Witches of East End is making me so happy! It's Charmed for grown-ups! Aunt Wendy is awesome and such fun:) I'm not so sure about Freya. And there is seriously something shady going on with that Dash fella. Sha-day!

The Goldbergs and Trophy entertained. But I stick with the whole if they didn't follow The S.H.E.I.L.D. I would forget they were on.

Once Upon a Time was pretty good this week with the gang picking up Tinkerbell to help. Only after the back story and forgiveness. Of course. Also Robin Hood! Everything with Robin Hood :)

Once Upon A Time in Wonderland was well, alright. I may need to see more, but I may also be getting Alice'd out.

Speaking of The S.H.E.I.L.D. (whew) , perhaps we will call it MTS to save a bit of time, shall we? Another great time with Coulson as he tracked down a rouge. It's always at the end though. You have to wait to the very last second. "What did they do to him?" "What do you mean?""Oh. Nothing." (Or very close to that.) Oh! The waiting! What! What did they do?!

And tonight was Tough Love :) Porsche, Porsche, Porsche. Last week I thought maybe, just maybe a break through. A glimmer of hope. Then tonight. Oh wait, there she is. Back to her old self. And Christopher. WTF man? Really? It's a good thing Steve has the amount of patience that he does. I would be banging my head against a wall moaning in an angsty despair. Then I would drink. A lot.

And finally. Damn you Sheldon Cooper! Damn you! Oh, you know what you did. You knooow.

So Much TV

I was aiming for a couple posts last week, but well, life and too much TV and trying to keep up with The Countdown to Halloween blog hop on my main blog, Into A Barrel all seemed to keep me a tad busier than expected. (Yup. Also behind a few there too.) But I finally sat down and thought about what I saw this week :)

I'm still trying to figure out the keepers and losers.
Though The Millers is a big no.
I missed Super Fun Night. (sad) But I will catch it tonight.

Michael J. Fox is still under consideration, but it's not looking good. The Crazy Ones is growing on me with each episode. David E. Kelly is a winner once again :) The Goldberg's is starting to hook me. Trophy Wife is fun. I'm starting to wonder where they can go with it. The step-mom thing might get old after a bit.
But only The Crazy Ones has a chance of compelling me to remember it's on.
I'll be honest if The Goldberg's and Trophy Wife didn't follow Marvel's The S.H.I.E.L.D. I wouldn't think to turn them on.

MTS is awesome! I love Agent Coulson :) The hints of what is yet to be known and the funny. I am happy to see this each week. And last night the promise a new villain:) JOY!

Dancing With The Stars is still on the watch list :) I know. I thought I would stop after Bill Nye left, but no. A number of them are doing so well. I want to see how they turn out. And am I the only one who is impressed with how well Snookie is doing? I thought she would be done early, but no. And last weeks one-handed cartwheel? Awesome. I knew Valerie wouldn't be on long. Mostly because that whole Grace Kelly/Freddie Mercury thing last week was just odd.

Tough Love: Co-Ed is almost done. Everyone seems to be growing and learning. Except Porsche. Wow.
I mean.WOW. All I will say is you can't love someone else when you use it all up on yourself. It's on tonight so we'll see if she has (as Oprah would say) a light bulb moment.

Witches of East End started and was awesome! This is my oooo drama show of the season. I could never get into Revenge or Scandal, but throw some witches in the mix and, yeah, happy camper :) It's like a grown-up drama-y Charmed :)

Once Upon A Time is still going along. This season in Neverland. Where Peter is an ass. And maybe demon. We will see. Regina, Snow, Charming, Hook and Emma continue to bicker and sulk and be all around bitchy. Even though they know they need to work together to save Henry. Stay with the demon lost boys son! It's more peaceful!

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland starts this week and I can't wait :) As is AHS and The Walking Dead. The CW'd Tomorrow People starts tomorrow as well, but I may be holding a grudge towards that. My childhood cult favorite all glamed out? I'm just not sure if I'm ready.

And finally, SNL. Miley Cyrus was host and musical guest. After the VMAs I was expecting the worst. But no. She was likable and charming. She took all the jokes in stride and the acoustic version of We Can't Stop was lovely. She won me back :)

All in all an interesting TV week. And hopes of a good week to come :)

The Fall So Far

It's my first week of the Fall lineup. I know it actually started a week or so ago, but those aren't my kind of shows. Well, except for Dancing with the Stars. And Haven. And Sleepy Hollow. And Dads. I guess I did start at a doable time.
I should just say, I do not do many reality shows. Still, I do love my Dancing with the Stars. Especially this season. But come on! It's Bill Nye! I hope he stays for another week. I also really like Leah Remini, even if she is a bit paranoid.
This last week was a tasting of quite a few new shows. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Dads, Mom, The Michael J. Fox Show.

Lets start with Dancing with the Stars. I've pretty much said what needs to be said on that. The cast is pretty good. Snookie did better than I thought. Bill Nye did as well as I thought. I don't think he'll be around for long. Though I hope I'm wrong.
Haven is doing what Haven does best with the mystery and Nathan's brooding. Colin Ferguson from Eureka is taking part this season. And being just the right amount of mysterious.
Sleepy Hollow is creepy and dark and so far so good. I just have trouble seeing this as a long term show. Mini series would have been better.
Dads is okay. Some funny bits. Some uggg! Really? Why moments. And I love the cast! Seth Green, Martian Mull, Giovanni Ribisi, and Peter Riegert. So it's a bit of a let down when it's only the second episode and they go right to the weed plot. Can't I have time to like your characters before I have to see them all strung out on brownies?
My biggest happy was Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Joss Whedon? Yay!  And Clark Gregg is always fun. It had action and humor. The story moved along at a good ace and the characters are enjoyable to watch. This is a hell yeah!
The Goldbergs. Keep in mind that I am an 80's lover. I did think it was better than I thought it would be. Lots of fun bits. The dad translation. The brother who is only understood by Flava Flav. Yeah. I'll watch again :)
Trophy Wife I don't want to say I enjoy you. Because once I do they will cancel you. Just like they did to Family Tools. You are smart and funny. And I just love Bradley Whitford. The hamster. That is all :)
The Michael J. Fox Show. I had high hopes for this. Maybe that was the problem. It wasn't quite what I had hoped. But. I'm not giving up just yet. I know that sometimes you have to give shows some time. They had a bit of ground work to do. And the second episode was fun. If you knew that the neighbor was played by his real-life wife Tracy Pollen.
Tonight I caught The Crazy Ones and Mom. They seem like okay shows. They are both easy to watch and decently humorous. Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Geller worked nice together. And in Mom, Anna Faris is just as charming as she always is.
And finally for this post my only other reality show at the moment, Tough Love: Co-Ed. Everyone needs Steve Ward in their head. Just before you do something stupid, you need to hear him say "Come on! What are you doin'?"

Oh The First Post

Welcome to my new blog!

It's not really a new new blog, it's a second blog:) Just to FYI.

I'd been thinking about what to do. What is it that I really enjoy? What is it that I bore my friends to tears with? Or make them laugh at?
And then this weekend I knew. It's TV and fashion. Not in a crazy fashion police style but more "when I see something bad out there it needs to be noted so others do not do that" style . And of course I am not talking about the black and gold velvet-like bubble skirt that was just covering the butt yet was belted up under the boobs. Nope. Also I will subtlety try to take pictures.
Also few years back I wrote a few TV bits for one of my blogger gals. And I have realized I have missed that. It allows for a different perceptive when watching. I'd been thinking of how to add that to my main blog, but it wasn't meshing. So here we are:)
And I do get a kick out of starting things up. I love the customizing and arranging and getting it all just right. It inspires me. So beware the tweaking of the layout :) Though I am enjoying the brightness of this design.

When I finish this post I will be working on the new Fall shows so far. Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D, Trophy Wife, The Goldbergs, The Michael J. Fox Show, Haven, The Neighbors, Mom, Crazy Ones, and a few others. I can't watch them all, but there should be a nice mix for people.

I better get a groove on. I do hope you all will enjoy the bits and pieces that will be here. :)
